Yep. I have a cheap computer I bought just to play with Vista, but not much else on it. Just got it to play with the GUI a bit. Then I have had 7 Beta for close to a year til it expired. I do like the GUI, but I am so stuck on XP Pro stability, I am afraid to upgrade, or in many cases actually, downgrade to Windows 7 just for a bit prettier GUI. I am gonna stay XP Pro til I just can't go without it anymore, and I have a feeling that will be for a very long time. Now if MS is going to send me a FREE copy of OEM Win 7, like they usally or used to do for me, then I'd gladly use it. They did not send me Vista though. Maybe they will the 7 since I beta'ed it. I use to sell a whole lotta Windows OEM software on new systems or with parts in the past, so being MS keeps tight control who is selling their legitimate stuff, they would send me FREE OEM software, and invites to all kinds of conventions around the country. Only went to one of those that happen to be in OKC. They sure put on a good presentation that time when XP first came out, and fed us really really well. I was actually impressed. That was about 2 or 3 months before XP was actually unveiled to the public, so its been quite some time ago now.

SO, Muderator??? How about an update on the Windows 7. How you liking it now? Getting any bugs or getting used to it? Any dislikes or improvements over Vista you can see? Still a pile of poo or what? Please update. Thanks

it's not so bad. i like how you can drag the window and bump it at the top of the screen to expand it and drag/shake it to minimize it to your task bar. the best features so far are the preview screen in the task bar, the snipping tool for screen shots and how windows media player opens in a litte screen instead of taking up the whole screen at start up. other than a few driver issues and software downloads, it's turned out pretty good. been a few years since i've done a clean OS install and can't remember if i had the same issues with drivers for the mouse and such.

That is about the only feature I found in Vista and 7 that I wished XP had, is that preview feature in the taskbar. Where you can cascade a small preview of each window then click the window you want instantly. Still not worth giving up the stabilility though.
