had to down load the device driver for the touch pad. windows 7 did not support it. we'll see if this fixed it.

Did you buy a new computer? If so, dealer error...
If not, not incl all drivers is reasonable, how would they know
which mickey mouse touchpad you wil get.
Plus the touchpads have a history of bad drivers.

This is stressful, I'm giong to go buy icecream.
As a sign of support of course.

If you let microsoft know about it thru there report error system online, they will put that driver in an update eventually, then it will be in a service pack next time too. If that is the only complaint you have so far, I consider that good.

I have a feeling Windows 7 will end up benig a good OS. After Vista flopped like it did, I am sure MS listened to the customers and biz users and made the proper changes. The fact is, they got XP Pro nailed down so well and so stable for a change, noone wants change and I don't blame them. Here is my Dell Service Tag, FGZ7R61. I have upgraded the CPU and the Memory to this system. That's it Period. Never restored windows, never backed up to last good boot, never a blue screen error. Still going strong. According to my service tag, this system is 3 months shy of 5 years old and works great with XP PRo. I've bumped the CPU from the 3.4 1MB Level 2, to 3.6mhz 2MB Level 2. The upgrade was not for the speed, of 3.4 to 3.6, that is minimal, but to doubel the cache. Made a noticeable differance. Then I later upgraded to 2gig of Ram. All that's been done, everything else is still right out of the box.
