YouTube - The Animal Odd Couple Nice video. My buddy's grandpa had a horse and mule that worked together at the farm well one day the horse got sick and died well the mule was so sad that he just sat down and was making this loud noise well he stopped eating and finally died.

sounds like a book i read when i was a kid "where the red fern grows" about 2 hunting dogs. it was a long time ago but as i recall it was a really good book.
