Really, its so hard sometimes to stay direct on topic, and many things you want to say that end up off topic that fit the conversation. Example, I just not only highjacked a thread, a few minutes ago. I flat strong arm robbed it off topic. It would be cool, in these thread responses if there was a way to mark it as off topic, like a check box, icon or something, so if the orignal poster or non member finding a response, could hit a sort button to eliminate the off topic posts in a thread, he could sort the thread to only the post in the thread that pertained to the post. Actually its not fair to the poster, or anyone else trying to solve a problem, but I sure don't mind it a bit, and it does not bother me, but I am not everyone else. Due to alot of off topic comments, I probably know more about some of us here, than I do my own neighbors. Which is fine with me too. I have seen threads get off-topic and change topics 4 or 5 times. Just happens in conversation, and I know noone here is being rude and doing it on purpose. Just making a suggestion I guess if the technology exists. So like I marked this post with a paper as if its a long post. Could an icon be selected and a sort feature to eliminate it if the reader wanted to. Also for a non member, so that the off topic is not able to be seen by them, #1 so they don't have to be botherd by the BS that is non important to them, but is to others, #2, if they are not a member, they shouldn't be entitled to know certain things about the members, if the member should choose to discuss a personal matter within a thread. In fact, I am moving this post to a new thread and not posting it here. I just think it would be awesome where we could select an icon to say we are going to make an off topic comment in the thread. Then the reader can hit a sort button, "Include all posts within the thread", or select "Eliminate Off-Topic Commnets within the thread" By default a non signed in person or non member only gets the "Eliminate Off-Topic Comments" portion of the thread, and Mods have the authority to select or deselect a post as Off-Topic or On-Topic. I like the off topic comments, but again, other may not.

| honestly, it should not get so far out of hand to need a sort button and i don't believe Vbulletin has this type of feature. we had a real problem with threads going off topic for pages upon pages a year ago. we try to let it slide as long as the thread gets back on track or the thread creator requests a clean-up. if you guys think the off-topic post are getting to be a problem, then we (mods) can post a friendly reminder in the threads that get out of hand and/or clean them up, otherwise some members seem to take it a little to personal when their post gets deleted.

| that would be difficult to do for some people. i try to use only one post for everything that i have to say. that would include the nifty tidbits of info that i am offering plus whatever joke might be told to keep the esteem high on what might seem a devastating project. mark that thread off topic and the reader would not read what i put down. as for using a bunch of post, i hate that. having to scroll through 4 or 5 posts by the same person gets redunant even if the info seems worthy of posting. |

| Now, you are picking on me Bradley !!! I seem to do that sometimes. I put something down. Then after thinking about it for a few minutes, or find some other info, then I add with another post.

| mods are usually good about this. you gotta understand that we are a bunch of guys (and gals) who show passion and we all have one thing in common. we love our trucks. we are all one big small happy family if you will, and sometimes it gets off topic.

| I really enjoyed being used as the example of what not to do. Thanks for the heads-up. |
