 |  Running from Hurricane!! Well, got my truck loaded up with family pictures, clothes, gas!! I am headed out of New Orleans, La. seeking higher ground in Texas, running from storm in Gulf of Mexico. Once again glad I bought a truck, so i am high out of flood waters and can pack alot of stuff in it. So wish me and my family luck and I will pray for anyone who has to go through this! Later

| I am safe in Winnie, Tx. But my house did not fair so well, as i type this letter my house has approx. 10 feet of water in it and rising. thanks for the prayers but as you may have seen on CNN, this will go down as the worst storm EVER!

| Thanks for checking in!! Glad to hear you guys are ok.... not so good about the house though!  Well, at least its good to remember that posessions can be replaced...lives cant. Glad you guys are safe for now. My husband heard that if NO goes under water far enough it was going to be left as a lake. Is that true or are they actually going to try to get the water out? I figured you'd be a good one to ask.
