Avital Alarm Set-up????

I have an older model of the Avital Alarm system (circa 1996) in my F250. I replaced the battery recently and when I went to set the alarm, I realized I had forgotten how! Ha! Of course I have lost the instruction manual and the Avital website/customer service has been no help at all stating "manuals for older versions no longer available". ****!

Anyhow, if anyone has the model with the remote that is oval shaped (black) with three purple buttons on the face (one triangular and two quarter circle shaped) and a small button on the right side, I would greatly appreciate programing instructions.

Thanks Folks,

Tony Raymond

I think you are down to replacing it. Sorry we couldnt help. The good part is you can upgrade to a newer system , that old one you have is almost completely obsolete and probally easy to defeat with todays criminal.

If you are looking for a sugestion on theft deterent systems, i suggest a Smith and Wesson 29-2 series in 44 magnum. Thats what I use. Or the backup Charles Dailey 45 acp

My personal choice is a Colt Defender .45ACP with Crimson Trace laser sights.
