last night's hunt

well fella's, we put a killin on em last night, drove out the woods with 5 dead coons in the back of the truck, and had to leave 2 of em stil llivin in the woods, due to the fact they were sittin where we couldn't hit em. the dogs only tree'd 2 of em, the other 5 we found ourselves, just by shinin.craziest thing i ever did see

what do ya do with coons after you kill 'em? can ya eat 'em? or do you just make hats and doormats out of them? im not a big hunter, as you can prob tell.....

i just got in from tonight...skunk, coon, and a few "rare" rabbits...for some reason we're running a surplus....i skinned the coon, the rest are for the coyotes to chew on.

we normally leve em for the coyotes, but some people eat em, mostly black ppl, sometimes we give em to an old black guy that one of my huntin buddy's knows. and every now and then, we'll make a hat or sumthin...... will where u from?

from what i hear, the further north u go, the larger the coons. is this true? 12-15 is considered a decent sized coon, 20 is pretty big, and a 25lb coon is giant down these parts. what about up there?

the last coon i shot was a 27 pounder. Pretty big. Usually the small ones are sick and they weight about 14-16 pounds. So, ya, they are a bit bigger up here. I can sell the skins for $5. not much, but it adds up.
