Jeff Dodson is on a distinguished road
95 Jeep Grand Cherokee (windows)

Alright, this is my son-n-laws Jeep. I dont understand it, we messed with this thing all day. The windows just quit working, luckily while they were up. Anyway he said one day the driver window would not go up. When he got in and closed the door, the window went up but then they would not work from then on. None of the windows work. Checked the fuses, took the driver door switch out and took it apart and cleaned the contacts and put it back together, still would not work. There is power going to one of wires in the wire cluster that goes to the top plug(i believe it was the center bottom wire in that cluster), for the two front windows. No power to any of the wires for the rear windows. I even ran a jumper wire from the positive side of the battery directly to the motor wires and still would not work. I thought maybe the motor went out, so I tried the passenger side, even ran the jumper wire directly to those motor wires and that window would not work eather, not even a noise. What should I be looking for or why is this happening.

if you got power to the switch . i'am thinking the switch , run a jumper directley to the motor ,also along with positive you also need a good ground .

Same exact thing happened to my 00. It was the 4 button switch in the drivers door. Replaced that and all was fine again.
