injector pump

here in the next 2 or 3 weeks, i will be tackling something that i have never been into. im afraid to report that the back half of the injector pump on the pete is leaking oil somewhat. so it has been decided that we are going to attempt to tear this half down, and do the work out of the shop. something like this can be sent to be done but could cause the truck to be down several days and just cant afford it to be down that long. after all, tags were just paid and that runs just over 900.
i believe that it can done in a matter of a day provided that parts can be found relativley easy without traveling hundreds of miles through the country side. pete and cat can run the engine codes to find out what we need however, this does not always happen. on another pete, they tried to sell them the wrong washers that goes infront of the weights for the governer even though thats what the computer listed it as. we shall see.

don't you have a good rebuild shop around you? you do the r&r and they fix it!

yeah, peterbuilt. costs too much. thankfully, i dont have to rebuild the entire pump as i dont have the tools to do something that.
