Yeah... gotta love those jet trucks.

In my younger days I used to run my Plymouth Fury out at Englistown, NJ and my buddies and I always went down for the jet cars and jet trucks. Ah... the good ol' days...

What year was it? Was it a sticker or was it part of the speedo? A lot of older cars had "certified" speedo's as optional equipment. Mine was a 1970 with a 318 that was pushing 350+hp and was clocked (by a friend on the highway patrol) on radar at 146... just before the rear seat caught fire from the heat of the glasspacks (Cherrybomb's). I had it up to around 155+ in a timed run once before a rear tire started to let go. That got real interesting!

It might have been a 1970 model I don't know and it wasn't a sticker it was in the speedo behind the plastic if I remember correct all I know it wasn't no sticker it's been so long ago. He told me that he raced this Porsche and that he beat it there were out of town on South 59 going out of Houston the Porsche couldn't believe that he got beat by a big car.

Probably had the police package in that one. I believe they used 360's with a 4bbl in those.
