Now that's a fact too, but the only ones I know of that have not EVER been test driven, are off limits and you go to jail for test driving those ones.

i done lost track of what yall were talking about.

the ones with no miles just need to be broken in good. but like the manufacturer states, drive easy and under 70 during the breakin period to prevent rod problems. then again, what does the manufacturer know about how well their vehicles drive. you know the only thing they know is how their high end vehicles drive.
perhaps you can find a mid grade model with a very spunky engine. not alot of people would be able to handle the power that they throw down. this would limit the field of people and since the engine is tweaked, no break in period is required. just make sure you have good rubber on the ride as the increased performance might burn it off.

yall have a very off beat way about talking about trucks.

You are certainly right about those ones with spunky engines and making sure you have good rubber. Cuz, man if you don't. Never what kind of an accident you might you have, or what you might run into, and what ever it is you hit, it may not just wash off. I'd say good rubber is a must. At least till you get to know the vehicle well enough to know you can keep it under control.

I know one good way to tell if a vehicle is in good shape or not. It can tell you alot of things about that truck. It if its healthy, been used alot, if its been well maintained or not. If the owenr would be so kind to let you stick a sniffer in the tailpile. Check all the readings closely, cuz they all mean something.

I find it more and more difficult to keep a straight face while responding to this thread.

To good my man, to good. For some reason I have found that some models don't like giving acturate readings thus them not wanting there readings checked that way.

The thing that I found working were new models usually are sold is they have to many bugs in them. To many recalls cause of the bugs being worked out. So I have found that a gently use model is perfect that is why I have a early 40's model, no bugs recalls and she knows how to handle the road well with no rubber on the wheels.
