The commanchees are basically a Cherokee with the assend of it cut off and a box put on it. They have a frame instead of a unibody like the Cherokees.
Commanchees are called MJs and Cherokees are called XJs. YJs are YJs and CJs are CJs. TJs shouldn't even be added to the Jeep repetoire, lol.
Most commanchees had 4.0L engines with AX-15 5spd transmissions mounted up to an NP231 transfercase. Some had NP242 t-cases as well.
They are pretty good little trucks, but the boxes rust off them pretty quick.

I'm up in Ontario Canada, so yep, the boxes rust off of them.
Of all of the trucks that I see on the road up here, they are the worst.
I'm not cutting up the truck by anymeans, I am just stating a fact.
Your auto was probably a TH999.
Was it a 3spd or 4spd auto?

I cant even get on board with this. My jeep is a cj5 but there aint alot of jeep anything left.
