Livermore is in the East Bay Area. I wheel at the Rubicon, Carnegie SVRA, Prairie City, lots of private property and I've been told Hollister is a good place to go too. We should plan a Con run ... but it's too late in the year now, maybe next summer or something Even I think Bald Rock in Oroville area would work too... sorta a Mini Rubicon

I wasn't tryin to be a jerk, I was simply stating that since you don't know what an International is then you can see one fer yerself by lookin at select Semi's

Fordchick was just telling you where you can see some internationals. But most widely used semi today is a freightliner, Dont ask me why I think they are cheap, But there are more of them on the road than anything alse. Ask me how I know this. my father in law has one of the biggest tractor trailer and heavy equiptment repo business in the U.S. He has to know the stats.

Chevyguy you have an International that you got from your Grandfather. My Grandfather has an old International truck from I think 1950's to 60's. That thing just keeps on running even with its coolant hose leaking, something wrong with the exhaust (it smells of gasoline inside the truck), my grandfathers horrible driving (doesn't shift to lower gears when stopping and accelerates fast and brakes quickly at the last second), and you can't go over 60 m.p.h. or the whole truck starts to shake violently. That truck came close to being mine, but its a real mess and my parents didn't want to keep repairing it. Just thought I would share that with you.

I helped my grandad fix the clutch on his international a few years before he passed away and he told me he was gonna give it to me. My mom aunts and uncles were mad at me for fixing it because it being broke kept him off the road. Anyhow he told me about a week before he passed away and I was home for christmas leave it was mine, and I should get her running, So i went out and tinkered for a little bit and fired her up. Actually drove it around the farm a bit but the brakes had blown a master cylinder from setting so I didnt dare go to far. He seemed happy to see his old truck move around a bit. This was during my christmas 2000. Well I went back to New orleans on dec 31 and on jan 2nd 2001 he passed away so I went back to oklahoma again for his funeral. Glad i could make my hero happy before he passed. Seemed very proud of me becoming a mechanic and all and very proud onf my military career. He pushed me alot growing up If I found something I couldnt fix he would say I wasnt a mechanic, i was just a bolttwister. ,made me angry, but made me more determined ti fix whatever it was i was working on. kinda seems like the truck should be sentimental to me, But he only had it for about the last 6-7 years of his life and i was away for most of that so it is just a truck to me and I have memories of him. Wow this must be a real downer to read. Sorry for that , just telling the story behind the OLD INTERNATIONAL behind my parents house in Oklahoma. I dont know why I felt the need to share this here, It is kinda personal story. Oh well

Hey brother, just tells us how good of a person you actually are. It made me think about my grandfather and made me think of how good of a mechanic he was, unfortunately he passed away before i really got into working on cars. That man could work on anything.
