True also but depending on whether your tires are loaded or not will also make a huge difference on what you can and can't go through up here we use either beet juice or chloride but most everyone uses beet juice cause it don't rot the rims out like chloride

On the family farm up in Wisconsin we used calcium in the tires. On the other family farm, in Manitoba, I can't remember what we used, except that the tractors had a very bouncy ride, so it might have just been air. Difficult to remember, being it was 40 years ago.

Well I think mud won't build to much on the skinny tires like wide tires because there is more grips on wide tires (due to width) which will make it cake up with mud more so skinny tires I think have an advantage right there on the tractor. I may be wrong.

Put hylium (sp?) in em? LOL.

my guess would be extra weight... most guys around here add metal discs to their wheels to give em more weight, therefore a higher normal force, creating more friction and therefore better traction.

Pretty much what he said^^^^ they add the liquid around here to avoid adding the metal weights cause they suck to take off in the field if you have tire problems

Hindenburg used hydrogen, not helium. Helium is nonflammable.

We used calcium because, well, it was a dairy farm, and we always had plenty. It added weight, made the tires pretty much "run flat", and didn't have the sloshing problem you get with water.
