WOW, just read this thread. I'm surprised that it didn't get closed earlier.

In my opinion, the best looking truck is Dodge, then Ford, then GMC, then Chevrolet. But I didn't buy mine for how I thought it looked.

I have owned:
2 Chevrolet cars
1 Plymouth Valiant (225 slant six, sweet)
5 Chevrolet trucks
1 Ford car
1 GMC truck (lasted 21 years, still on the road around here)
1 Chevrolet van

I do have a little vehicle experience. All were good vehicles, worst of them was the Ford, but by no means was it a lemon. We all have reasons we like what we drive and that's why we keep buying them.

But I won't ever consider buying a truck (or car) built by an automaker that is foreign owned.

BTW, I voted GMC

Volkswagon made a "sort of" truck (not the Thing).

Ford is the only brand that still looks like a truck. I have a 1996 F-250 4 door short bed with a 7.3 liter diesel. I only have 217786 miles on it, I hope it lasts.

Nothing is different. The drivetrain between the two is the exact same. The only difference is the front fenders, grille, hood.

yeah, they are the same truck. they are made in the same plants most of the time. that is why you see a SIERRA emblem on the tailgate of a chevy at the dealership sometimes.

well for me it depends on what you are using the truck for !
i like chevy for highway and ford for a work truck, i feel chevy has a softer ride for the highway, but ford is best off road ,no comment on dodge never owned one.
