I would love to see that! 2,000lbs in the bed of a barely 1/4ton truck! Although I shouldn't talk.... I once had a tare at the scales of a transfer station of over 16,000lbs using a 1/2 ton dodge, granted most of the load was on a 1200lb rated trailer...... but it worked! Did not like to stop, NOR accelerate, but thankfully, nothing broke! You should have seen the look on the lady's face at the dump when I pulled on the scale.... AND to add insult to infury here, I was hauling using the ball on the bumper! LOL. But that 500 dollar truck paid for itself that weekend!

Bet it fubared the truck though, a 1/4 ton truck isnt designed to haul 1 ton. It will bottom out. It puts tremendous strain on the leaf springs and frame. not to mention the entire drivetrain. I could see maybe a 1/2 ton of cement but not a full 1 ton. 1 ton even makes the back of my M-880 sag, and its a 1 1/4 ton.

You know, i would normally agree with the idea of not overloading a truck, however, I have been guilty of it myself. I had a grand total of 8 tons between my '83 dodge d-150 and a 1200lbs rated trailer in tow once! Should have seen the look on the womans face at the transfer station! LOL. You wanna talk about over loaded! LOL.

It's nice to see that nearly half of the polled population likes chevy. It just goes to show ya who is the best. Haha.

Ever take notice to where most of the online users hang out? Even if they are just guest, the greater majority is in Chevy! On night I was watching and saw the number viewing spike over 105! it was kinda funnny since at the same moment there was like a grand total of 13 people in the ford and dodge forums combined! LOL.

I was watching a movie last night, and saw a GMC Yukon Denalli, and I have to say, that was a gorgeous front end. Most times I prefer the chevy bowtie on the grill, but that was a nice looking truck. Very mean. LOL......

Here is a question for you Pete, you express over and over you are a ford fan, but, if someone GAVE you a chevy for free would you keep it?

depends on year, and model, if it was an 80's chevy truck, i might keep it if it had a 454, 350, nah. i would sell it and get meself a ford. also, i do not hate chevy/general motors, cuz i like old gm cars (camaro, firebird, trans am; 60's and early 70's) and trucks, but i really despise how new ones are built, especially cuz u cant tell the difference between a ******'s chassis and a 1/2 ton pickup chevy. ford, they are beefy, and they can hold up to alot of toguhness, they can take a beating. i dont like seeing this...

but thats not the case for all chevy's, and i know rollovers happen with any vehicle, but newer chevy's seem so small. i like these.

or these...
