my old chevy fit that to a T. i found out a year after i bought it that the sluggishness and 'dieseling' after i shut it off (turn it off the motor starts running backwards, had to pop the clutch and stall it out) weren't just off timing and a junky carb... the firing order was all messed up and i'd been pretty much running on 3 of 6 cylinders. awesome. i wish i had pics of my cousin adjusting the timing while sitting on the inner fender while i drove down the road with the hood up. after the fix, the motor still leaked, rattled and ticked, but she had a lot more power haha. lit up a set of 31x1050's like the 4th of july. Im a ford guy, but i will say this- that chevy was TOUGH.

. Tried again with his Detroit-diesel Skidder... broke all 4 of the chains before we could really start pulling either way . We'd put it (the PW) in 4L and knock down trees, and im not talkin' alders. 8-12" diameter trees . Diesel doesnt always outpull gas!

Yeah,, uh... if I recall correctly, the same time that henry ford started to add different factory colors to the model T line, GMC was making one tons for the army in WWI... so who had the upper hand? I had a ford, loved it but it was bare bones, so I bought a trick 98k1500, was so awesome. Then, I started to spend too much money, sold the truck to my brother, bought a **** dodge that I loved to offroad in, started having troubles with it, so I sold it and my fourwheeler and bought another chevy that was a trade in at work. Couldnt resist, so sweet just look at my pics!!! | |
