| I get about 11-13 local driving. But if I got on a long drive I can push 18. It is a 02 Chevy 1500HD with a 6 liter. I have a 2 inch lift, K&N cold air intake. A performance MAF sensor, Throttle body plate, Dual exhast, and a bed cover. Every little bit made a big difference.

| I discovered something very interesting today... I've been buying biodiesel at a local Shell station lately. It was a nice 10% blend that cost me just a couple of pennies more than regular diesel. I know the truck liked it better than the regular stuff, but I was about to stop buying it because when I filled up a couple days ago, before heading on a 240 mile trip, I noticed the price had gone up a nickel, and it was now a 5% blend, not 10%. But then today, when I filled up after that 240 mile highway trip, the truck took a lot less than I thought it would. Usually, at 65mph highway speeds the truck gets 10-11 mpg, but after double checking to make sure I had both tanks full I did the math and found out I actually got 13.88mpg on that trip, and I was really pushing it at some points, doing 70-75. The only thing I can think of that could account for that is the biodiesel. Seems like even that 5% blend is good for an extra 2mpg in my truck, which works out to about 80 miles extra per fill up.
