Wow dude you just opened a can of worms . I'm biased... I think the Powerstroke not only does its job beyond the call of duty, but it just sounds better than either the Duramax and Cummins.

Honestly, I've heard a lot of pros on the Powerstroke and Cummins, but I don't know many people that would pick a Duramax over either the Powerstroke or Cummins. It just doesn't compare.

$0.02

I know that Chevyguy will get on here and tell you all bout the Duramax, so you'll get a lot of different opinions here

This question can only be answered by you. Look up the torque and horsepower of each engine. You will find one that stands above thee rest, But you are gonna have to do the work. I am not going to sway you either way. Me personally i like the daramax them the cummins. not a powerstroke fan at all.

this is hard. with the 3 diesels controling the light truck market they all have there ups and downs. the 6.6 duramax is a great engine but what good is the engine if the ruck is no good. chevy trucks are to light weight the front ends are to complex and weak to handle the weight. the cummins in my opionion is the best engine. history has prooved that but once again the dodge trucks are plagued with trans and front end problems. ford really makes the best truck but the 6.0 powestroke is plagued with injector problems. however those are being worked out and the powerstroke is said the have the spped of the duramax and the power of the cummins. in the end its really up to you. but i would go with a F350 powerstroke.

WHAT^^^^ Where do you get your facts from. Dodge has solved the trans problem. The front end of chevys are good to go. Fords seem to run well also. You did in your input fail to mention the plague fo Electronic controller problems ford owners have had. Every 10k or so needing a new engine control module. Not all of them had this issue, but it was a known problem in the 6.0 powerjoke series.I am sure it is fixed by now, but people are ranting because they dont like carrying around spare parts in the glovebox so when it dies you plug it in and continue to the nearest parts store and buy a replacemnt.

My advice would be not to listen to alot of us unqualified idiots, do the research and see what you find. i would be interested to know what you decide when you have done your homework. Sorry for the rant, but i had to clear up that mess.

They are all great diesels. Each have their troubles though.

It's true though, even I'll admit. The 6.0 is a joke. It's the 7.3 that I support.
