| 5 dollars?! are you INSANE?! just kidding. thank you. i picked other, because i hate gas motors. so the suv i would choose is a humm.er h1 before they put the duracrap, i mean max diesel, the humm.er diesel they used to have in it.

I'll have to disagree there... the V-10 ain't no diesel, but it's a beast. We had a van that went 190k that we beat the heck out of. Not even knowing it, we drove it about 10k on 9 cylinders Aaaanyway, if we HAVE to stick with gas engines in this poll, I go with a full size Bronco or Centurion. If we can go Diesel, I'd have to say an Excursion 4x4 with a 7.3L

| my dad had a 2004 ford excursion with the triton v10. im telling you, 12 mpg highway, it sucked. he traded it for a 2003 excursion with the powerstroke 6.0 and now its around 18.

| But this isn't a matter of mileage, it's a matter of wimpy vs. being a decent engine.

| well diesels will always beat a gas engine in power and torque, and most harsh weather conditons! do you watch ice road truckers? it was negative 40 degrees and the truck still ran! and down in florida, its the # 1 commercail truck state(dump trucks, tow trucks, etc...)
