need help with transmission noise

My dad and i both have 83 4x4 trucks with a 5 speed his developed a grinding noise in all the gears but 4th then mine done the same thing what could this be and is it an easy fix thanks

when was the last time the clutch was replaced? that could be your problem. or on the pressure plate it could be weak or missing spring.

I just put in a new clutch, pressure plate, and bearings not to long before it started making the noise. I would say about 5000 miles ago

That sounds like the bearings in the transmission. Check the fluid level and check for metal in it. I had this happen on a Dodge I had a few days later the trans got stuck between gears. Hope yours is a simple fix though.
