My dad and i both have 83 4x4 trucks with a 5 speed his developed a grinding noise in all the gears but 4th then mine done the same thing what could this be and is it an easy fix thanks

That sounds like the bearings in the transmission. Check the fluid level and check for metal in it. I had this happen on a Dodge I had a few days later the trans got stuck between gears. Hope yours is a simple fix though.
