'03 Toyota Tacoma Bank 1 Sensor 1 My buddy wants to tackle this without a lift. Can we do this on ramps and what can we expect for rust and possible breakage of retaining studs while removing hold-down nuts? The vehicle has about 150K miles. We also aren't to sure where the heck this sensor is and if someone can provide a picture that would be super. Thank you, ![]() Steve

shouldnt have any nuts or studs to break. disconnect a wire and put an O2 socket on it and take it off. it might break off but can be removed with a little heat. without knowing what engine you have, this makes it difficult to tell you where it is but will be the first sensor you come to out of the exhaust manifold on the pipe.

Thanks, bradrhale. Reason for mentioning studs was: view seen on web of postings but not of same truck. To be specific, as I overlooked, it's a v6 3.4Ltr. I can imagine the first O2s being threaded in going into a heavier pipe and the seconds going into a lighter pipe maybe using the welded on studs. Thanks. Steve
