adequate suspension for a plow on 94 pick up

I have a 94 toyota pickup. V6 extended cab 4x4. I am putting a plow on it. Is it adequate to just crank up the torsion bars a little bit to support the extra weight, or does anyone have any better recommendations/ experiences.

if the truck can't support the weight stock, it probably can't be used as a plow truck!

IF you look at any snowplow installation, they will tell you that you should not exceed the Vehicle load weight for the front end with the plow attached.... Like it was said, they do make light weight plows for smaller vehicles..... If its going to hammer the front end, It's up to you on wether its worth the money for the plow..... I looked at the cost of a plow for my 1995 Gmc, and it was cheaper to go find a used fourwheeler with a plow on it than it was to get the plow and replace front end parts on the pickup....

I had a 87 ext.cab 22R and a 5spd. and i had a fisher 7ft with the nylon cutting edge reg. duty plow and had no problems with it at all this truck had 193,000 on it when i got rid of it ! the only thing none stock on it was a steel flatbed other then that it was all stock and was one of the best plow truck i have had ! so don't think you should have any problems with it and i would not fool with the bars also i just got a 94 with the V6 and 5spd and its a ext. cab to and if i keep it around it might have a plow on it for next year. also do your self a big favor and don't buy one of those home owner plows just over priced junk they are way to light and to short ! (just my two cents)
