| huba huba 1986 toy. truck. I just bought this truck and it would not engage the front tires when shifted into 4x4. The drivers side hub is not engaging. My Chiltons manual shows the auto hub looks different on the inside than the manual.(makes sence) Once you take off the outer handle on the auto hub you will see a bolt in the center that I think bolts to the drive axle. That manual hub doesn't show any center bolt inside the hub. OK now when I took the outer handle off I see a center bolt just like on the auto hub????? Right now Im trying to get the outer casing or main body of the hub to pop off and it aint budging. Of coasre I took the bolts off. Now Im going back out with my dead blow hammer and going to beat the **** out of it to see if it will pop off. Anybody know whats up with the center bolt? Is that normal on a manual hub? It isn't connected to the outer hub. It just isnt pictured as part of a manual hub in the book. As my auto repair teacher told me years ago, never trust a repair manual 100% they do miss print stuff. Any thought from you all? |
