Dome light not working correctly

When it is in the position for it to turn on when the doors are open, it does nothing...It worked the first day i had it, but since then, nothing. There is only one fuse that controls the dome light as well as a couple other things, it isn't blown, and the light works fine in the on position, just nothing for the door position.

sometimes my dome light won't come on when the door is open either, but it works at the switch. if i hit the dash where the switch comes in contact with the door when it is closed it will come on, some kind of short or something. haven't had a chance to tear into it so i couldn't tell you the exact problem or if it is the same problem you are having, but i would check the switch and go from there.
