Lightbulb Toyota prerunner needs help

I have 2000 2.7 engine that at a steady speed going down the road the truck jerks alittle. I have replaced plugs, fuel filter, cleaned throttle body, tps,. Can any one help with this problem? I thought it might be in the engine, but thinking it could be in the transmission,I am replacing transmission filter today. This truck has 103,00 miles. Thanks.

Hello!! Since you are changing your transmission you should wait to see if anything changes and then see if there is a problem with your truck engine.

you say that it jerks a little and i am finding it hard to believe that it would be in the tranny. whenever a gear is slipping in and out of a tranny, like its not getting enough fluid, usually jerks pretty heavily when it is going from gear to gear.
have you had it checked for any codes??

There is no codes showing, but yes I did have that checked at the dealership. I changed the tranny filter, fluid and still no luck. I bought a coil and I am changing one out at a time to see if this helps because of the cost.If a coil is going bad would it show a code? Thanks Mitch

Are you sure it's comin from the motor and not the steering or chassis? It could be a clogged fuel filter, bad fuel injector, or maybe a sensor...?

i dont believe that it is going to be a sensor as there are no codes and he just changed the filter. would a bad injector pull a code?? might be a possibility

I dunno if a bad fuel injector would pull a code, but I do know that it'd cause a vehicle to cut out and jerk a bit
