 | 89 Pickup Engine Problems....Please Help I have an 89 4-Cylinder 2 barrel carb, manual trans pickup. The problem I'm having is the engine runs very rough at idle and shakes violently at times. When started it seems ok but once the fast idle cam is disengaged it runs really rough. When acclerating its ok but the problem starts again a few seconds after I let off the gas. I've already checked the vacuum lines, air filter, thermostatic air cleaner, ignition timing, pcv valve, and sprayed the carb with cleaner, and replaced the egr valve. I tried to reset the idle speed to 700 rpm but it continually jumps up and down between 600 to 800 randomly. Does anyone know what the problem might be? |

| Sounds like a vaccum leak.Try and spray some carb clean around the carb base,intake,vac lines ect |
