| The terms "Toyota Tacoma" (little truck), big mud tires, lift, and "quick" do not belong in the same sentance. Add the weight of the extra recovery gear, and tools, and you have a little truck with big tires that may not be so quick. The manual gear box will help with the power problems over the auto, but depending on the tire size, hopefully not much bigger than a 33" tire, you will still have to consider a gear change to compensate for the larger tires. Tacomas are nice little trucks, that seem to last and last, but keep the speed expectations to a minimum, this baby will not be setting any land speed records. |

| get the toy you get more use out of it than a jeep. but don't waste you money on all of that cool fancy stuff you until you decide what you are going touse the truck for. if you just want a mudder then you can put a 3 or 4 inch lift for 33's or you and maybe lockers for more grab. the bigger the tire you have the more surface area and the more rolling resistance against the truck. which means that you will have to re-gear the truck to move with out killing your fuel milage. there isn't much that you really need a bigger tire for if you know how to wheel.

| 33s on a yota are really pushing it especially if you get the 4 cylinder. You will have nu use for 5th gear. You will need to regear to go with anything bigger. A 6 inch lift and 3 inch body is gonna look real stupid with 33s and the little motor wont push anything bigger over 45 MPH without regearing. Look go with a yota and get a 4 inch and go with some 32 or 33. You will like it an denjoy still being able to drive it. Dont go getting braindead on lift.

| My friend has a 1992 yota with the 4cl. He lifted it four inches and put 33's on it. It handles great off road.... 4lo can turn them.... and he hasn't had any issues on road. The truck does struggle sometimes up hills over 60mph, but it runs fine otherwise. Unless you go higher then that or bigger then that on tires, you should be okay. |

| what if i added power to it.... maybee turbo charge, intake.... i think i might get the 5" lift with 33"x12.5... But if i can add more power to it then maybee a 6 inch lift.. with 35"... i will not add no accesories only a front bumber with lights.. And a body lift if neccesary.. and just some rubber interior so i dont get the inside dirty... i go offroading with a jeep.. at a rough place... its rocky muddy... and little hills.... i like to go on the beach and find new things..... i take care of my things... |

| any truck is good for the mud, they are trucks, but go for something that is going to be reliable! toyota is not your answer plus i dont know how into style your going for but a toyota truck with big tires and exhaust and added power is kinda lame, i would even sugest a dodge over a toyota or anything foreign, and if your still thinking about manual or automatic go with manual, then you are in control!!!
