Need Tacoma Advice

I’m looking to buy a used Tacoma and was wondering if anyone could give me advice. I’m noticing a lot of 2003-2004’s on the market with 70-80k miles. Is there a reason there are so many, do these develop problems around this time? Are there any problems with any Tacomas I should look out for? Thanks.

As much as I hate to admit it. They are good little trucks. The reason why there are so many of them for sale, is because they are still running strong, and they sold so many.
6 cylinder trucks can be a little difficult to work on, (try changing a starter, wow!). but it is Toyota, and doesn't need to be worked on that much.

Also, it is widely known that most people do not hold on to their vehicles for more than a few years, especially people who buy them new. And 70-80k is a bit high, but close to average for something going on fives years old.... so basically you are seeing these from people who are buying newer.... and who like to drive. And from what I have seen, The tacomas are very strong in dependability, and longevity, so i wouldn't shy away from them just because you see alot. Infact, that could help you get a really good deal too. When the supply is high, the demand is low.
