| Im looking for a decent Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird. Please no high dollar cars or junk. I have a 1982 Dodge W-150 4x4 with a 4 inch lift and 31 inch procomp all terrains mounted on American Racing Outlaw II wheels that I would be willing to trade. PM me and let me know. I can post more pics of the truck if interested in a trade. This is the bodystyle I want: ![]()

| Had 2 nobody wanted either one, both 86 T-top, Camaro was 350 auto, firebird had v-6, watched them both go into the shredder. Minus the engine and trans. I do still have a 400 Big Block from a 78 Bonnieville, yes it was a Z code in the VIN. |

| which one? 400 pontiac or 350 chevy, the 350 has replaced the factory 2.2 in my GMC, 78 was the last year of production for the Bonnieville to come out with the 400 BB,thought about keeping it and replacing the 350 when I finish my F-150, so I have something to pull it to a race. And anywho the 400 would defintely need an overhaul I've had it since the 90's mid to late, and replaced it for a ranger because of the lengthened drive to work, up to that point NO ONE passed me on the road. Just think what it would do at a drag, the bonny weighed 3,300lbs without the motor and tranny, the sonoma is 1,800lbs thereabout (can you tell I'm southern?) can you say rocket on rails? With the BB I can add nitrous and not worry about block failure, for a while. Then the 350 could be stroked with a 400 crank,...torque or speed? HMMMMmmmmmmmmm

| The pontiac engines all used the same block from 326 up to a 455... just different deck height.... I once replaced a tired 326 in a 67 firebird with a 455 and everything fit. |

Deck heigth was the same for all "Tin Indians" only the bore and stroke was different. Can say that the heads form early (61 to 64) engines had slightly different water passages, so those are a little different, but the blocks, and heads, including the intakes were interchangable. Would not be possible if the decks were different. Just a bit of random worthless knowledge. | |

| I know the PVC on a 403 is smaller, had to fish one out of the 400.
