That is what annoyed me the most about those people. I was not even trying to sell the truck. They got pissy with me becuase I know what it is worth and would not take thier insulting offers. They are the ones that offered to buy a truck that was not for sale. Some people.

I am going through some dumb ones now with this Chevy Tugger. I have tire kickers calling about it that just want to ask questions becuase they have not seen one. I may pull the ads just so the oxygen wasters stop calling me. Let me know what you want to work out, because I would much rather deal with some one who understands and appreciates vehicles like this.

What do you have to trade?
Lonesome I hope things get better so you can keep the tugger. I love that truck I wish I had $4000.00 dollars I would take the bus/train over there to pick it up og also EXTRA money for the fuel.
Good luck! GMC

I got some inforamtion on this beast.

"Transmission: Automatic, GM TH400 Drivetype: 4WD Transfer Case: NP208, locked Steering: 4-wheel Axles: ZF APL-345/B supposed to be rated at 5-ton Gearing: 22:1 total ratio (6:1 in the hubs, rest comes from the ring and pinion) Eagle Bobtail Aircraft Tug Conversion.

These vehicles underwent a conversion by Eagle to become an aircraft tug with the model name "Bobtail".

The Bobtail is specially built as a 4wd aircraft tug, made to haul huge aircraft around sloppy combat air-fields.

The bobtail is originally a 2WD frame that is converted by Eagle to 4WD with reinforcements in the frame. The axles are attached to the chassis via a centered pivot (like a tractor) and have rubber blocks between the axles and the frame. The tires on it measure 38" on 20" rims. top speed with the motor on the governor was 17 MPH.

Front and rear steering axles are 5-ton rated built by ZF. The axles also have built-in 4 wheel hydraulic steering that is selectable via a lever on the floor of the cab (regular steer, tight steer, and crab steer options) and controlled by the steering wheel. The truck will steer with the front, steer rear opposite the front, control independently, or the rear stay fixed in any position. They also have wet brakes that are inside the planetaries as well as a micro lock for a parking brake. Other ring and pinion ratios and parts are supposedly available from ZF dealers and these axles were also available in some Case International, Ford New Holland, and John Deere FWD tractors so parts can supposedly also be sourced that way. The truck weighs 12,000 lbs. and it is rated to pull 60,000 lbs."

Well if you left GA now in that thing, at 17mph, it would sure be a great Christmas gift for me by the time you got it to OKC, OK. How many gallons to the mile do you think it gets? GPM?

I know for a fact it goes faster than that. I have had it to at least 30MPH in the neighborhood. Oh, I put seven gallons of fuel in it on my last R&R a year ago, and have not put fuel in it since. I do not know how much was in it before, but that is still good.
