87 chevy s10 with a 93 front end all shaved down newer paint 17's with new tires

NEW PRICE 2700
READ EVERYTHING

I have a 87 chevy s10 with a 93 front end, I got this truck in a trade from guy. Im not really into the whole lowered truck scene, so I would like to get rid of asap. The truck is 87 chevy s10 with a 93 front end, the door handles have been shaved and door poppers have been installed, there is a full system in the truck with 2 Kicker 10's, Kicker door speakers and a Pioneer cd player. It has blue neons under the truck, has a Rhino lineing, tinted windows, 17's Eagle Polish alum rims with newer tires, carbon fiber winshield wiper blades, remote start but not hooked up, tach, 3 gauges. There are some things wrong with the truck, it has a Rebuilt title, drivers side door is primered and needs to be painted ( est. 125), the car either has a loud cam or a rod knock... I was told that the cam was very loud and is making the noise.. He told me that the motor was just rebuilt and I will get paper work on that to prove... Im asking 3200 or trade for a civic hatch... Let me know what you have.. DONT BE SHY AND TOSS SOME OFFERS OUT

Umm hey man, cams dont knock. Sounds like it needs another motor, or a better rebuild. Might adjust the price accordingly.

well if its just a rod knock, it could just be bent..easy fix. but if the cam is makin noise, thats a different story.

Uh scottie,What do you mean by easy fix? Connecting rods usually dont bend, they wear the bearings out and get play between the crankshaft and the rod bearing .It requires the motor to be torn down and crankshaft removed and turned by a machine shop and oversized bearings reinstalled. basically it is a short block rebuild. Rods need to be reconditioned before they get reinstalled too. I think you might be talking about a pushrod, they dont cause a knock, it is a tapping noise made by the rocker arm.

I've bent a rod before...of course it bent as it was coming out the side of the block (rod bolt broke, long story). Those 327's sound great at 8000 RPM but will generally spit rods at 8500 RPM. Gotta watch that.

Yeah, you know what i meant, Cant just bend it back. usually if you hammer a motor enough to bend a rod its because it beacme and external part not an internal part.

Yes, I did know what you meant, and yes I have spit one out. Fortunately it was at the track. If you bend a rod, well generally we make chisel holders out of them.
