not only is there rumors of chrysler and gm merging but there is also talk that ford is going to sell off some of it's smaller names so it can stay afloat.

i don't think toyota needs to merge with anyone. it does just fine as it is.
i am more curious who funds Cerberus. who REALLY runs the show.

I was listening to AM radio while stuck in traffic today, (don't ask me why....) They were talking about this merger between GM and Chrysler. And how they do not see it happening due to the inability to really merge, or rather for the two companies being no where near compatable. I am curious myself to see what happens. What I think is funny though is that if this happened a few decades ago, it would have been an easy job. Back then, when Jeep, (under the Chrysler name) ran the AMC classics, they had more GM parts then Chrysler! LOL.... oh well. I will say this however, if GM EVER thinks of Merging with FORD, I will disown them as a name brand and buy toyota! LOL....

Nah, it could be VIPETTE, the companion to the Viper?...LOL.... I would be more concerned about adopting some of the BAD traits of vehicles like the Dodge NEON....lol.... I think it could have some benefits though. Think about it.... A Vette or a 1500 2wd Silverado SS sport being equiped with a HEMI from the factory! LOL.... just another way to look at it.

Also, mergers and even partnerships are no longer uncommon in the auto industry. The new Routan from VW is nothing more than a Chrysler t&C with a different logo on it. I also heard that a lot of Harley's parts are being made in japan. They're still assembled here, but it just goes to show that nothing is sacred anymore.

I would take a 350 with four on the floor over one of these plastic windup toys anyday.
