State studying effect of travel on tundra in North Slope (Fairbanks Daily News-Miner)

ANCHORAGE--The state is studying the impact of travel on tundra in the North Slope. Results of the study by the Alaska Department of Natural Resources are expected in November. The agency is responsible for opening and closing state lands for off-road tundra travel each winter.
