1979_4x4_Plow’s Truck Pictures

the truck started its life being used right off the bat. it was purchased by the power company in my area and used as a plow truck. after they were through with it, they sold it to a concrete company where the gravel and such took its toll and it was used for plowing for them also. after the concrete company a private buyer purchased the truck and had plans to use it for a plow business. his plans fell through and me and my girlfriend got it for $850. it has a 400C.I. (6.6L) engine, 400 transmission, and a need for a person to take care of it. last winter it acted like the transmission went out and was acting bad. i need to do a transmission filter kit with new fluid, and check all the brakes and change out some gaskets. recently i changed plugs and wires which looked original from 1979. the plugs were rusted and carbon built up bad on a few causing dead cylinders. i plan on getting some valve cover gaskets replaced and fixing up other leaks i find. this truck was abused and needs a better box on it also since it has bad holes in the bed and the sides dont catch the tail gate. any rate, here are some pictures and i have a few more i need to get of it for recent pictures. truck aint much to look at, but it will be taken care of and have some life put back into it.
