Does anyone know what pressure should be at the injector rail of the 1998 ford ranger with a 2.5litre engine?

Are you getting a service engine light? Could be many things ..electrical or fuel.

Seems light ought to be on...does it work ? When you turn key on..does light come on then go out?
This is a 4 cylinder try changing the plugs..if just one is bad will make engine erratic.and not have power.
Could be a plug wire..check fuel filter. without a check light hard to diagnose.

Hi sir! i have a problem with my fuel pump.. I replaced my fuel pump, sending, unit and regulator, after new oem pump installed
and tank cleaned of severe filth the operating pressure at idle is 27psi and 26 psi under load of 2000 RPMs or higher. New fuel filter only ran for 1 or 2 tanks under filthy gas tank (previous filter was clogged enough to block pressure to 12psi on key flick) and pressure on key flick comes up to 38 psi before starting engine. Spec operating range is 30 - 45psi.

Since the operating pressure has gone down since new ford truck parts has been installed and given all the new fuel system items what could this mean is wrong?
