Whoa, 13mpg on good days!! What performance programer will positively effect fuel mileage the most??
hello there you should do much better wow it should be about 18 to 22
are you running a dually 1 ton or a 2500 and pulling a trailer
i have a 1500 350 gas and i get 13 pulling a trailer .........pete
Pete, single axle, no trailer, no nothing, 2500. I traded a 250 Ford with 6.0 and was getting 18 around town with Edge Juice programer.
I average 13.5 mpg with my truck, completely stock. 90% in town. I drive it real easy.
Hate to contradict on here, but no one can expect 18-22 mpg on a stock LLY in stop and go traffic. I can get 20 mpg on the highway at about 60 mph. Faster than that and it drops drastically.
But I didn't buy it for it's economical mileage.
I bought an '06 Silverado 2500HD crewcab with the Duramax/Allison combo and I just got back from a 5,000 mile holiday to Arizona where the average mileage, pulling a 28' 5th wheel, was 12 MPG to the US gallon! Skootin' along in cruise at 60 mph w/o trailer I pick up 6-8 MPG at least (depending where the wind's coming from....In town, about 15-18 depending on how much of a hurry I'm in...I dunno....heavier? Higher diff gears? I have 6 speeds in my box...maybe that extra O/D?
