5.3 tourque specs

    going to be installing my new head gaskets on my 5.3 need tq specs on the heads and the intake any help would be appreciated thank you all

    That would be 100 ft. pounds on heads and 40 on the intake.
    Get you all torque specs need be.

    those head bolts are a torque to yeild and a torque angle gauge is needed to do it right.

    1. cylinder head.gif Tighten the M11 cylinder head bolts a first pass in sequence to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
    2. Tighten the M11 cylinder head bolts a second pass in sequence to 90 degrees using the J36660-A.
    3. Tighten the M11 cylinder head bolts (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) to 90 degrees and the M11 cylinder head bolts (9 and 10) to 50 degrees a final pass in sequence to using the J36660-A.
    4. Tighten the M8 cylinder head bolts (11,12,13,14,15) to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) . Begin with the center bolt (11) and alternating side-to-side, work outward tightening all of the bolts
    intake is 44 INCH pounds on first pass and 89 INCH pounds on final pass. intake.gif

    i just baught a chiltens manuel so i belive im good to go thanks every one for the info
