new thermastat but still no heat????????????????its cold help
There is a valve in the inlet heater hose or in the heater box that lets hot water in the box. it is probally not working, (leting hot water in the box). cant remeber if its elec or manuel on your truck. but its controlled by the hot to cold selector on your on your dash. OK LOOKED IT UP COULDNT REMEMBER THE NAME. Heater control valve looks like auto zone sales one for about $12. Thats probally the problem.
What year truck? Could be quiet few things . Heater core stopped up ect. Maybe like lostdog said valve.
is the coolant circulating? are the heater hoses getting hot? are there bubbles in the radiator? is the air out?
1997 4x4 k3500 w/454 vortec new everything i took the heater hose loose from rad.and very little coming out , now at the engine i took heater hose loose and lots of pressure cant find a heater valve on truck
There isn't a heater valve on that new of a truck. How is the truck running? engine getting up to operating temp? Overheating? What about a problem with the rods/door in the heater box? It could be possible that it is not switching from a/c to heat inside
i had a no heat prob and the blades rotted off the inside of my waterpump.
pull both hoses and try back flushing it from the rad side
