Am I to expect fuel economy on my truck? I heard that fuel addictive can help in mileage. Does it have an affect on trucks? I saw this product in the truck service workshop, Stanadyne fuel addictive. What is your opinion about it? Will it harm the engine in the long run? It's description says, it actually aids engine performance.

I would check it before you start to use the additive then afterwards meaning miles per gallon then figure if it's really worth you using the additive another thing is to me I would worry of maybe burning up the catalytic converter if using it on each full tank of gas now to get better gas mileage drive like me a old man gunning it from a red light is where it can suck that fuel up also slow down way before you get to a red light check your tires to make sure some of the tires aren't running low on wind or air and last remove the truck bed and fenders and doors that would make your truck lighter maybe leave the hood on it you might get rain oh don't forget to use your seatbelt.:rofl:

If this additive costs $5, just put $5 more gas in....you will go further

    BTW....what truck, what engine etc?

If you want fuel economy, don't buy a truck.

Snake oils promises of pouring a magic wonder in the gas and makes things better. I don't buy it pouring something in the gas makes it get better mileage is kinda iffy to me makes me wonder what chemicals are in it. There other ways to get mileage up.

Air filter fuel filter proper air pressure in tires how heavy on the pedal are you air temp. There are alot of variations to get good mileage. But its a truck its heavy also depends what truck motor also gearing what the final drive ratio is and rpms going down the road.

Leo your right it will keep the injectors cleaner if one uses it every so often Seafoam does work I know my buddy used it on his injector cleaning machine and it worked that's how I know it does help that is concrete evidence it cleared up the problem on the car after the cleaning job and that's all that was done so it did help work.

So, it doesn't have any affect on mpg, but it can clean and protect the engine. I use my truck daily. So, I suppose, it will be good if I use it.
