I am going nuts. Okay, here is the problem:
I have an 87 Nissan D21 2WD 4cyl engine Truck. Ugliest thing you have ever seen:blush:
Battery charging light came on recently. However, alternator and battery tested good both bench and inside truck.. working fine within specifications. Batt hold 12.5 - 13V, alternator outputs 14.11V measured across Batt terminals.
Now all of the following used to work 2 days ago: Now battery light is constantly on. Oil pressure warning light does not turn on when ignition is turned on (bulb is good!). Brake warning light is not working. Temp and gas gauge are no longer working. Blinkers are no longer working, neither left nor right. However, hazards flasher does work if you wiggle the hazards switch just right.
Here is what still works on the instrument cluster: Cluster panel lighting is working! Cluster light dimmer is working! Light switch and wipers are working!
Somebody suggested a bad wire or connection (Well, duh) but how do you go about tracing such a problem??? Someone else suggested that an internal voltage regulator inside the panel has gone South. Took the panel out but can not find such a regulator.
Anyone with similar problems or suggestions on how to go about finding the problem???
    Thanks in advance :)

If you wiggle the switch ,and it works need a switch.
There is no external regulator lol
On the temp and gas gauge sounds like bad ground connection? Instrument cluster maybe bad.
Does this have a voltage hand in the dash? If no one else chimes in check back will see if i can find a wiring diagram.

No voltage hand in the dash. Has just spedometer, temp and fuel gauge. Oil & Batt are lights.

No voltage hand. Just fuel and temp gauge plus speedometer. Oil & Batt are red lights.
