On my 2005 6.0L Yuki, I have noticed the Electric Fan seems to run a lot more. Even when it's like 20 degrees. Checked the anti-freeeeze, fine, had a new thermostat put in last year, engine temp is the same. Suggestions?

The AC is always on, Auto is on, so what I am really wondering is if the electric fan is doing it's job and turning on when the vehicle slows down. Radiator is in good shape. Maybe the correct question what triggers the electric fan?

2 things turn your electric fan on, temp and the a/c, when it reaches a set temp in the ecm it will turn on the fan to cool it down when it cools down to below that threshold the ecm kicks the fan off, or when the a/c gets turned on no matter how cool the motor the fan will turn on a few seconds after due to the extra load on the engine and this fan will stay running as long as a/c is on.
