What all would be needed to convert my 1988 Ford f150 to 4x4?

A complete donor truck would be best or just buy a 4x4.

Better off to just go buy a 4x4 truck, thats alot of work to swap in a 4x4 into a 2wd. And honestly not worth the time or money when buy a truck already 4x4. Some trucks the center hump is taller in 4x4 trucks than 2x4 trucks.

Last buddy I had that did this set his 2wd body onto a 4wd chassis. He had to cut out the trans tunnel and re fab one. In his case that was the most work he did, other than some small odds and ends. But I agree with the above and just get a 4x4.
