2008 f250 superduty speedometer

    My speedometer quit working. I changed the has in the differential. Still no Speedo. Only light displayed is engine light. Only code read is rear vss-a. Any thoughts

    New vss did not change anything. Sometimes my mileage and mpg shows on display and sometimes it dont. Just in and out with a green wrench cycling through display. Amber engine light stays on.

    Is your ABS light on? On some trucks the VSS signal goes through the ABS module. If the ABS module goes bad, no speedo. There is also a VSS on the transmission.
    I would first check the wiring at the rear VSS, make sure the plug is clean, then check for a blown fuse.
