In the words of chevy guy "Rant on"

What is the deal with this country. It's Christmas!! Not Winter holiday. I know some people might be offended. Thats the beauty of this country. Freedom!! I could care less if you are Muslim, Christian, jewish, Atheist or whatever. If you have faith and believe in something more power to you. You might offend me but ok you have the right to freedom of religion, speech and countless others. I'm not gonna complain. Why is it that those who believe in christ and celebrate his birthday have to change because some are offended. Yes i know that is has been over blown thanks to commercialism but the basis is still the same. N-E-Hoo I'm not trying to step on toes and my intent is not to bash anyone. Whatever you believe in good for you, just don't tell me I can't say Christmas. Just had to get that off my chest.

    "Rant off"

LOL thats ok JW :) Its fixed

I agree with you! I heard the other day about people trying to change the official name to "winter holiday" and I started ranting at the radio alone in my truck. So stupid... everything has to be so politically correct these days. Just makes more work for everybody

They are tring to change the name of a Christmas tree to a Holiday tree. Its a Christmas tree not something to be politically correct. We don't have the Jewish 7 candle stand, I sorry I don't know the name of it. We don't call it a Holiday candle stand. These are names that you can change personally, but don't go trying to make us change something that has been called this for so long just so you can be happy.

Darn yuppie tree hugging rights activists, Trying to remove every thread of the very fabric this country was founded upon. Makes me mad. i live by the Pledge of allegence and Ill be darned it I ever remove one nation under god from it when I say it. It is true the seperation of church and state, But under god was put there by our founding fathers and to remove it is down right disrespectful. I get very upset when I hear about someone trying to change an American holiday that was founded on the birth of Jesus Christ to something else entirely. If they dont like it they have the right to ignore it, Thats right was given to them by the very constitution they are fighting against. Sorry everyone, I get emotional about this stuff.

seperation of Church and state... HAHA, i love how the govt. takes off for christams, good friday, and several other religious holidays. this "seperations" is only gettin worse, no prayer in school, calling christmas a "winter holliday", takin under God out of the pledge, "in God we trust" off the money. heck, all this stuff goin on, if they want to be so politically correct about it all this stuff. i want to see my mail run, my courts open, our senators and representatives in congress, the pres in the oval office, and so on, on dec 25., on good friday, and any other religious holiday. i plan on writin a letter to my congresmen about this, and have alot of other people help. can i hear an amen brother. rant off

As long as it is worded correctly stating we want all this removal of GOD from our lives to stop. We like american as it is with its religious past and future.

agreed..... it makes me amd that if i were to go into class (esp a social studies) with the Bible, and was reading it to myself, the teacher would more than likely have me put it away, and posibly give me detention for doing something other than the assignent or paying attention. but if an arab kid was sittin there readin the koran, more than likely the teacher would be excited and ask him to read an excert to the class, not giving him detention. now that really irritates me that something that our country was founded on would get me in trouble, but something, that has nothing to do with our past, and some of the people that read it are sworn enemies of our country, would not get in trouble for it. isn't that ridiculous.... and dont even get me started on affirmative action ( i kno it's nothing to do with with our ranting here, but it's also on my list of pet peeves)
