A cheaper way to fix up the headlights is use a headlight restore kit, they do work and give the headlight lens a clear look. But the drawback is you will have to "buff" the lens about once a year or more pending what the weather is like in your area. Meguiers has a plastic polish its a rubbing compound for plastic to smooth it out again. It works as well I used it on my car headlights twice now and like it, just takes alot of arm power to buff the lights back to clear so it makes them brighter.

if you apply a good clear coat over the lens after it is polished and clean it will last longer

If you buy new headlights make sure you seal them with silicone I bought some eBay headlights and one leaked so I sealed them and they have been good and Harbor Frieght has a kit that has some polish and a pad you can attach to your drill motor you might check them out then seal them with clear.

You can also wet sand then with 600 & 800 grit sand paper, clean them with rubbing alcohol, then clear coat.

What kind of clear coat do you put on them? This would be great since Mine last about 2 months before they start to yellow and I am back out there buffing on them again.

Yea I could get new ones but for my car I am looking at least 200 or more for decent ones. Go to amazon find some good deals on pairs for 100 bucks but its going to be like flipping a coin. If go oem your looking at over 600 for a pair.

Will keep buffing on them until I get tired of that or the price them drop some more or get lucky and find some good ones on a salvage car.
