I am not driving my truck much at all anymore last time I drove was in the spring its been sitting ever since. I tried to start it the other day and it barely started think the cold is getting to the battery. I want to out a battery tender on it but not spend alot, and want to put one on the riding mower as well. I seen harbor freight has two models, one had decent reviews was the cheaper model for think 10 the other model was 20 had good reviews. I guess if need be I can buy one now for the truck and next pay day buy another for the mower.

I just want to at least keep teh truck battery in good shape incase I need for something, plus the mower battery since it is new this year but it cost alot less the one in my truck. I checked walmart site but didn't get much may have to look in the store tomorrow. I am also looking into that mothers headlight restore kit, meguiers has a kit but at 5 bucks more but they do have a plastic buffing compound I could use with the mothers buffing ball, this way I can keep my headlights cleaned up since I drive alot at night coming home from work on dark country roads and need to see.

I found one at work lowes had, was 20 bucks a shumacher it had good reviews. I have had it plugged in for past few days. So will see what happens with it, I may go out fri when I am off work and unhook it see how the old beast fires up.

I had to put a jump on it last week when it was cold and ran it about 15 mins same time I was grilling dinner, checked bat voltage was reading about 14. went back a couple days later and checked voltage it was 12.5 it cranked slow but started so put the tender on it then. Battery was made in 2013 but still should have some life left in it.

Yup and just so happened they had a 20% percent employee discount that week, I also got some light bulbs and a new key made plus the batt tender for what the batt tender was going to cost me, so I got lucky.
